Program designed for youth 15-29, with a targeted marketing strategy aimed at 15-19 year-olds, seeking first-time employment. Registered clients are matched with an employer, and if hired, there is $300.00 available*, either for work-related items for the participant, or as an incentive for the employer to give the young person an opportunity, or it can be split between the participant and the employer, depending on need.

Youth Job Connection

Youth program for ages 15-29, comprised of a Pre-employment Preparation (PEP) component of 60 hours mandatory training, followed by a relevant work placement. Candidates are paid minimum wage for all hours of PEP, and employer receives a training incentive to cover some of the costs of hiring, over a period of weeks.

Employing Young Talent: Retention Incentive for employers who provide a training placement for a young person, and retain them for 3 months and 6 months, after completion.

Youth Job Connection: Summer

Youth program for students aged 15-18, comprised of a Pre-employment Preparation (PEP) component of a minimum of 20 hours, maximum of 30 hours, followed by a summer or part-time placement during the school year. Candidates are paid minimum wage for all hours of PEP, and employer receives a training incentive to cover some of the costs of hiring, over a period of weeks.
