All ages program designed for job seekers. Components include any aspect related to job search i.e. resume development, cover letters, approaching employers, interview skills, follow-up, employer expectations, job retention, etc. Some candidates may be assessed for suitability for subsidized job placements with monitoring from staff.
Employ Young Talent: Retention Incentive for employers who hire a young person between the ages of 15 and 29, and retain them for a minimum of 6 months. The intent is to help small businesses grow, compete and invest in young people to provide meaningful employment, and take their first steps toward building a career.
Canada-Ontario Job Grant
Employer driven program designed to provide reimbursement for training costs incurred by employers sending existing staff for training or upgrading. Program covers costs of tuition, books, student and exam fees, and a small provision for travel. Trainers can be brought into the community, if it seems more reasonable to deliver the training in that manner.
