Employment Service

All ages program designed for job seekers. Components include any aspect related to job search i.e. resume development, cover letters, approaching employers, interview skills, follow-up, employer expectations, job retention, etc. Some candidates may be assessed for suitability for subsidized job placements with monitoring from staff.

Better Jobs Ontario

The Better Jobs Ontario (formerly Second Career) program is an application-based grant program that provides unemployed individuals with vocational skills training. This training program, which takes 52 weeks or less to complete, is available to unemployed individuals for which skills training is the most appropriate intervention to transition them into high-skill, in-demand occupations. This program is available to unemployed individuals, who have been laid-off, or are from a low-income household experiencing challenges attaching to the labour market.

Canada-Ontario Job Grant

Employer driven program designed to provide reimbursement for training costs incurred by employers sending existing staff for training or upgrading. Program covers costs of tuition, books, student and exam fees, and a small provision for travel. Trainers can be brought into the community, if it seems more reasonable to deliver the training in that manner.
